If a pair of pants is adapted to a short or a long size, for example, the shape must be correct. Patterns cannot simply be enlarged or reduced as desired, because the curves and the proportions change depending on the size ratio. For example, a tall 1.99 m (6’6”) man has a different knee position than a 1.75 m (5’9”) man. For outdoor pants, the knee area must also be pre-shaped so that the pants can meet the functional requirements. In addition to the knee area, e.g. the waistband, the pocket solutions and the processing of the leg ends are elementary. For this reason, cut development and grading for the HOT sportswear pants are carried out on site at the company's headquarters in Ottensoos near Nuremberg.
Well-fitting trousers are not automatically perfectly fitting trousers. Comfort and convenience are central factors. It is not enough that the trousers are closed at the waist. The materials that we use at HOT sportswear are predominantly functional, i.e. they allow optimal freedom of movement without being constricting or tense. Regardless of the area of application, whether hiking or shopping, trousers should skilfully conceal any "problem areas", which luckily almost everyone has anyway, on the stomach, hips or thighs.
